ESERO ITALIA: insegna, impara, vola in alto con lo Spazio

The next step in human space exploration is to further explore our natural satellite and build a permanent base on the Moon. How will this future Moon infrastructure be constructed? One possibility is to 3D print it!

This Airbus Foundation and ESA Education teacher training online course on the topic of “3D design in education” will introduce the 3D design software Fusion 360, its use in education and relate it to space applications.

This training will also help you see how to further explore the topic of 3D design with your students by joining the Moon Camp Challenge, an educational school project run by ESA and Airbus Foundation in collaboration with Autodesk, where students 3D design their own lunar shelter adapted to the harsh environmental conditions on the Moon.

3D Design tool – Fusion 360

If your team is joining the Moon Camp Pioneers, you will have to create your 3D design project using Fusion 360. Fusion 360 is a free 3D design software for students, educators, and academic institutions. This software allows students to take their design to a very high level.

The online training is open to secondary school teachers of STEM-related subjects residing and working within any ESA Member State. Teachers from Canada, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia and Malta may also apply, due to specific agreements with ESA.

The deadline to submit an application is Monday, 1 November 2021, 23:59 CET.
